#GoodinGoodbyes this Ganeshotsav

Hi guys,

The festive season where Ganesha has arrived everywhere in the state of Maharashtra, the joy is worth watching. But, we cannot deny the pollution that has been caused due to the viserjan which is an issue that needs to be addressed too.
I am glad to come across the eco-pond initiative by Vodafode which believes in #GoodinGoodbyes . Eco ponds are a joint initiative of Vodafone & NCL wherein, NCL will provide Vodafone with a  solution of ammonium carbonate that dissolves the idol made of PoP and leaves the sludge, which can be later filtered and re-cycled to make chalks, etc. hence making a sustainable future.
The Vodafone team has done a study of the amount of solution to weight ratio required to dissolve the idol. Vodafone has installed ponds where people can do viserjan of their Ganesha idol and when the pond will be filled, it will be replaced by the new one while the old pond’s contents are sent for recycling.
I am really excited for taking part in this and doing viserjan of Bappa in an eco pond. This is an initiative worth applauding and supporting.
Under this initiative, 8 Vodafone stores are dedicated to carry out the activity. Vodafone stores located at JM Road, Hirabaug, Wakdewadi, Aundh, Karve Road, NIBM Road, Kalyaninagar and Kharadi are equipped with Vodafone Eco-Ponds (See Annexure). Further to this, devotees can also dial 7391000000 to locate all the Vodafone Eco-Ponds.
Here’s a video of this initiative -

Also, Vodafone has set an Aarti stand as people perform puja before immersing the idol in the water. The  Aarti stand will weigh the idol and then calculate how much solution is needed to dissolve the idols in the pond.

Come, enjoy the festival in an eco friendly way and see the #GoodinGoodbyes.

Thanks :)

#CleanUpCashOut with cashify

Hey guys! I am going to share with you all how I managed to #CleanUpCashOut my old phones. You can do it too! I've found a great and convenient way to sell away old gadgets.  Firstly, I am someone who likes to change my phone to the latest one and be updated with best features and technology and hence I end up buying phone almost every year or so, which obviously means I have a lot of old phones which are in good condition and can obviously fetch a great price. Few of them I had already gifted to my sister, and a friend. It was 2 months ago when my sister's birthday was approaching that I was short of some cash to gift her an Apple phone. I decided to gift and iPhone 7s and since I had already promised her, I didn't want to ruin it for her and miss the joy on her face. Just, when I was thinking how to get the cash and also contemplating of availing for EMI, I got my eyes on these two phones kept in the drawer. Voila, problem solved. Immediately I made uo my mind to s...

#DefinitelyPTE - Studying abroad

Hey everyone!  Today I'm talking about  #DefinitelyPTE by Pearson. We all, at some point of our career, must have felt the need or wish to go abroad for further studies. Studying abroad definitely gives your career an edge over the others. Now, studying abroad isn't as easy as just traveling where you get a VISA & tickets and you're done.  You need to get a student VISA, qualify English test, qualify for your desired university, raising funds and what not.  Of the many challenges posed for studying abroad, the first one is the English Language Test -  https://in.pearson.com/assessments-and-certifications/pte-academic.html   Other common problems for staying abroad may include -  1. Language barrier - In case you are going to a country where English is not commonly known to all people, you may find difficulty in communicating with the local people. 2. Food - You may need to adjust to the local food in case Indian food is ...

Interesting Facts About Human Brain

It’s been likened to a powerful super computer. Famous brains have been cryogenically frozen, in the hopes that one day; the most famous minds of our time will be resurrected once more. Most of us take our brains for granted, never thinking about the amazing organ, which, even more than our hearts, is so critical to our survival. Think about it. Without your brain processing information, you would never know what you’re hearing, seeing, smelling, or feeling. You would never dream, have no reasoning power, or have any memory of anything that happens. Of course, without the brain, or with a brain of a lesser capacity, its doubtful humans would ever have clawed their way to the top of the food chain. We’d still be living in fear, somewhere on the plains of what, admittedly, would probably be an unspoiled world. We’d be incapable of most of the feats that have so stirred pride, and shame, among us. No great cities would exist, nor would we spend years growing our knowledge before f...
